Goderich Blazers is a community driven basketball team dedicated to fostering love for the game while instilling discipline, teamwork, and perseverance in young athletes. Our mission is to inspire the minds of youth to be confident, resilient, and positive both on and off the court. Founded in 2003, Goderich Blazers has grown into one of the most respected and enduring basketball institutions in Freetown’s peninsula axis. Over the years, the team has actively participated in numerous basketball activities, leagues, and developmental programs, including competitions organized by the Sierra Leone Basketball Federation (SLBF) and the Western Area Basketball Association (WABA), competing across both Division One and Division Two levels. As the oldest basketball team in the peninsula axis of Freetown, Goderich Blazers stands as the heart and foundation of basketball in the Goderich community.
